THE LAST ADVENTURES by Forced Entertainment & Tarek Atoui opens September 5 – 8 Maschinenhalle Zweckel, Gladbeck

The Last Adventures is a piece about memory, a mixture of fairy tales, science fiction, epic myths, and penny dreadfuls. The performers are part of a constantly changing sequence of scenes, dances, and chases. Before our very eyes, they transform a battlefield into a mysterious subterranean lake. Here and there, familiar characters surface, situations and fragments of text from the ruins of stories familiar to us are dragged on stage, only to disappear in the very next moment.
Forced Entertainment is an ensemble of artists led by director and writer Tim Etchells. The group make original work for diverse art forms from their base in Sheffield UK.
For this new production, Lebanese sound artist Tarek Atoui collaborates with the ensemble.
